MANILA, Philippines — A neophyte lawmaker on Wednesday hit the election of presidential son Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos III as a high-ranking Home chief, saying he was clearly elected due to his political pedigree.
Throughout Tuesday’s session, the Home majority bloc elected Sandro Marcos as senior deputy majority chief regardless of being a rookie lawmaker, breaking the custom of giving senior members high positions within the Home management.
